As Christians we are called to walk in faith. We are not to fear, because God is in control and He has not given us a spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7).

Have you ever been led somewhere blindfolded by someone you trust? Sometimes it can feel that way when we lean on God. We may not always see or understand, but we have no reason to fear.

Here are 12 Bible verses that remind us not to fear:

1. Isaiah 41:10-13

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish. Though you search for your enemies, you will not find them. Those who wage war against you will be as nothing at all. For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.

Isaiah 41:10-13

2. Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9

3. John 14:27

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Psalm 56:3-4

8. 1 Peter 3:13-14

Who is going to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened.

1 Peter 3:13-14

9. 1 John 4:18

1 John 4:18

10. Romans 8:15

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.”

Romans 8:15

11. Matthew 10:28

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Conclusion

Fear is Satan’s game, and faith is God’s. We are to lean on Him during uncertain times and not give in to fear, but rather increase in faith.

I pray that you fully embrace the gift of peace from Jesus Christ and cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7).
